The Young Professional Society of Greater Springfield is currently seeking nominations for new members of our board of directors for 2010. Applications will be open beginning July 1st through July 31st. Applications after July 31st will not be considered.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Dynamic and successful business people from throughout the region who are able to share their ideas and experiences
• Desire to further connect the region’s young professional population to the greater Springfield business community
• Flexibility to meet monthly and take part in meetings during the work day.

We are an involved board of directors, where decisions are made and work is done. Our all-volunteer, unpaid board works in a wide variety of areas within the community with the goal of making Springfield a better place to live play and stay. Some of those areas include: business networking, business development, Non-profit exposure, volunteerism, social networking and supporting the arts. In an effort to reflect the rich, cultural and creative diversity of our region, the YPS actively seeks individuals of many diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Nominations will be reviewed and discussed throughout August and voted on at the board meeting in September. Candidates will be notified after that date whether or not they were elected to fill a vacant board seat.

The Springfield YPS is an organization built to exchange ideas, interact socially and share common interest in order to position young professionals as the leaders of tomorrow.
