Lindsay LaBonte of Applied Mortgage Team.
Leadership Luncheons return on Tuesday, March 10, when the spotlight shines on Lindsay Barron LaBonte of Applied Mortgage Team.
LaBonte is a nationally recognized mortgage professional and community leader with more than 19 years of experience in the lending industry. As branch manager of Applied Mortgage Team of Northampton, Mass., she has helped thousands of individuals achieve their homeownership goals while maintaining a strong focus on financial education and long-term planning.
Her branch of Holland Mortgage Advisors (HMA) Mortgage is ranked among the top loan originators in Western Mass. LaBonte has been a banker and tradesman top loan originator by units across Hampshire, Franklin, Hampden and Berkshire counties for eight consecutive years. She has also been named a Scotsman Guide’s Top 1% Woman Originator nationally and was featured in Mortgage Banker Magazine’s Powerful Women in Banking in 2022.
LaBonte earned her Bachelor of Art’s in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and General Management from Western New England University in Springfield, Mass.
LaBonte’s passion for service extends beyond the office; she and her team support more than 30 local nonprofit organizations through volunteerism and philanthropy. She currently serves on the board of the United Way of Franklin and Hampshire County as well as numerous committees, including Look Park, Cooley Dickinson Hospital and several local chambers of commerce.
She combines her business acumen, community focus and deep industry knowledge to inspire and empower others when she public speaks, both inside and outside of the mortgage world. At this Leadership Luncheon, attendees will help LaBonte create a fictional homebuyer by filling in the blanks during Mortgage Mad Libs.
“There are no wrong answers,” says LaBonte, “just different outcomes to explore. This interactive session mirrors how mortgages work: choices, tradeoffs and strategies. Attendees will experience a mock mortgage consultation and leave with a clearer understanding of the homebuying process.”
